Rob Andrews – Principal Qualifying as a solicitor in 1992, Rob’s main area of experience is in business law and disputes. A member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, he is experienced in arbitration, mediation and other forms of dispute resolution. Dispute Resolution Rob has succesfully fought cases involving business disputes of all types, including breach of contract, negligence claims (involving solicitors and surveyors), property disputes, and debt recovery work. His experience covers significant multi party multi million pound arbitrations, and the making and defence of applications for injunctions. Construction Through his time with a specialist construction and engineering practice, Rob gained an excellent understanding of construction contracts and practice. Employment He regularly advises clients on the requirements of employment legislation, drafting contracts and policies and helping clients deal with grievance and disciplinary matters. Rob has accepted instructions from businesses to act as the chair of internal appeal meetings. Business Law Rob enjoys working with entrepreneurs, helping them from a concept through to business reality, dealing with advice on how to start, through to taking on investors, advising on joint ventures and mergers, and ultimately through to business sales/acquisitions. Property On property issues, Rob has advised on landlord and tenant disputes, dilapidation claims, possession proceedings and boundary and covenant arguments. He also advises on and drafts commercial leases. Media, Entertainment and Charity Law More recently, Rob has developed experience in media and entertainment law, and is now the General Secretary of the Christian Broadcasting Council of the UK, and is a trustee of Cross Rhythms City Radio, a community radio station. He has also an increasing amount of work advising on charity law. Rob’s approach to working with clients is to keep things simple, and to ensure that constructive advice is given in plain English. Rob is married to Meg, supports Liverpool FC, and spends most of his spare time running round after his 2 daughters! Meg Andrews – Office Manager Meg is a non-practising solicitor, having previously worked as an associate in the commercial litigation department of a national law firm. She has worked more recently in the areas of law firm financial management, marketing and quality compliance. Having considerable experience in the field of professional negligence claims, Meg is well placed to ensure that Andrews Law provides a quality service to its clients! She will be responsible for the management of the practice, and client care issues. Meg runs a lot! She completed the 2006 London marathon in 4 hours 15 minutes. Keeping that fit ensures she can also run around after her 2 very lively young girls!
